Eternal Prayer, Damien Hirst & Lalique, 2017

Through the 'Eternal' collection, the British artist Damien Hirst presents a series of motifs that can be read as emblematic of the cycle of life, rendered eternal in Lalique crystal.

Similarly to Eternal Immaculate, Eternal Prayer recalls the artist’s 2008 work, The Immaculate Heart – Blind, in which a bull’s heart seems to be simultaneously lifted by the dove’s wings which carry it and pulled down by the dagger which plunges through it.

The panel can be displayed in a number of ways; for example, mounted on an easel, framed and hung across a wall partition, or inset into a wall.
